We are thinking of moving in two years. My hubby and I are extremely tired of our situation. It feels like we have both been out of work for two years. We’ve found temporary jobs, though we are consistently getting laid off from them.
We did attend a four-year college and we do have our Bachelor’s degrees. Unfortunately, there are not many jobs, and there are several overqualified folks like us. This is something we are becoming sick and tired of dealing with.
We’d like to find a state where we will be able to both find a job that we will have forever and will not need to worry about losing it. Because of losing our jobs, we’ve not managed to pay back our student loans. They’re all currently in deferment. This is the reason why it is exceedingly important for us to head to another state where there are many jobs. I do understand that most states are having the same issues, but there are a couple that are not as bad.
We have already started putting our stuff in local NYC mini storage units; we never know whether we will find a job or not which is why we are slowly moving our things to this unit. We have spent time applying for jobs in several states, so we are keeping our options open.
This has been a terrible time for us because we expected to be in a better financial position because we went to school. We would love to have kids, but I do not want to at the moment because of the lack of cash we have. My mom would love us to have kids, so she has slowly been collecting children’s garments. She has placed them in a local storage NYC unit for when we do decide to have children.
